Due to tornado damage at the Spavinaw State Park shelter we normally use, the 15th Annual OCCC Picnic will be held Sept. 19, at the Cole-Strang Community Bldg. The main dish, BBQ of some kind, will be cooked by Terry & Peggy. Members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. Peggy is coordinating this. The club will provide plates, utensils, etc., water and pop. Members should also bring their chairs, and maybe their canopies, if they wish to sit outside. Also, the direct road to the location is washed out, so here is a map showing an alternate route. Start gathering at 11 am, or earlier if you wish. Lunch will be served at Noon.

Locust Grove Cruise Night Oct. 4
The 2nd Annual Locust Grove Cruise Night, which started for some as early as 8-9 am, turned out to be gorgeous day with a really good turnout. Around 100 cars, trucks, motorcycles and other special interest vehicles showed up for the all day event. Cruisers had almost 30 members registered, and set up around Jerry’s garage. Thanks Jerry! The food wasn’t bad either. In fact, Jerry’s smoked ribs, pork tenderloin, spicy and not-so-spicy bologna, and hot links were all delicious and disappeared quickly. Terry’s super-fantastic yummy chili disappeared before anyone could say ‘this is the best chili I ever ate’. Terry & Peggy also provided all the fixins’ including Fritos, cheese, and some excellent spicy-cheesy hot links. Members brought other goodies like potato salad, chips and desserts. Here a few pictures of all the happenings.
Cruisers took home almost half of the TOP 50 plaques, including Steve Shipman, who won Sheriff’s Choice in his 1970 Chevelle. More details are provided on the RECENT EVENTS Page. After the awards presentation, the day wrapped up with all the cars lining up at the Arena Dome, and were then escorted back through town by the Locust Grove Police, where the monitored and supervised burnouts and tire squealing and smoking were allowed until 7 pm. OCCC Website Reaches 10,000 Views
“show me the best car upholsters in usa and pictures of there work on street rods 1940 fords, outlaw cruisers, car club officer positions, locust grove car show 2014″…these are just a few of the terms people enter while searching the web and miraculously make it to our website. Except for people specifically looking for us, the terms that lead the most people by far to our website are: Car Club Bylaws, Car Club Officer Positions, or How to Start a Car Club.
As of July, 2014 our website surpassed 10,000 views since Feb. 2013. Here is a Summary Chart of total views by month.
The ‘Best Ever’ day was Founders Day, May 10, 2013, 235 views.
Here are Tables of Total Views by Months and Average Views per Day.
Here is a World Map showing views by country.
Other countries on the list with 1 or 2 views are: Greece, Saudi Arabia, Romania, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Qatar, Israel, Djibouti, Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa, Argentina, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Spain, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominican Republic, and Denmark. How’s that for a geography lesson?
And then it gets interesting, if you care, like Wayne did, when you look at total views by page. Here is a the All Time Summary of Views per page. Wayne swears he DID NOT look at his truck picture that many times, or his Road Runner in the Photo Gallery.
The list continues, but the number of views drops quickly on revised and deleted items. Please feel free to leave comments if you found this interesting…or amusing.
